Walt Dickerson keeps his vibes fairly well in the post bop realm here while showing just the beginnings of some free jazz attitude. Regardless of classification, this is great music and rather unique, especially among vibraphonist led albums. As one might expect for such a style, pianist Andrew Hill proves to be a perfect match for Dickerson here. The 17+minute opening title cut is especially impressive, touching both heart and mind in equal measure. Easily recommended for just about any jazz fan.
