Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 71.7/100, a mean average of 71.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 71.5/100. The standard deviation for this album is 11.2.

Really basic electronic music.
Love their music, fine work!
On this ninth studio opus, built as a concept-album, the Manchester combo finds A LITTLE groove of his youth. On a certainly monotone tempo, the pieces are linked without breaks. The robotics "Eve Of Destruction" immediately imposes its frantic pace. The musical recipe has not changed fundamentally, but the duo integrates enough ingredients to keep the ensemble attractive and very pleasant to listen to. The album obviously contains his hit unstoppable, the agitator of crowds "Got To Keep On". The Chemical Brothers are again pulling on this drum'n'bass string worn out and rearranged to infinity, but "No Geography" is still an effective groove dance album.
6/10
It's pretty good and it sounds similar to their early stuff but I was hoping for something more experimental. Really liked Born In The Echoes and this is definitely a departure from that. They have so much potential so I like when they push the limits of the genre.
They're back on form with this one. Excellent album. Easily their best since the 90s.
