Not perfect throughout, but the highlights (in my opinion "Without A Blush," "Stay With Me," "Obsessed," "Not That Kind," and "Her Own Heart") are all phenomenal. Not only are all of the songs super atmospheric given their dream-poppy state, but they're also great as pure pop songs with a lot of fantastic hooks. One of the best albums of 2019.

If it wasn't for the complete clunker of an opener and the extremely wayward, anti-climatic crumple at the end, this would be something of a minor classic as everything else is stellar. Hatchie is not an innovator, but the way she harnesses and maximizes all these different styles of romantic 90s guitar pop is quite extraordinary. Cut off the crusts, then it really soars.
