A bigger, grander album that yet feels almost like it could've been recorded around the same time as her debut album- this certainly gives plenty of credence to the notion that if you've heard one Hatchie song, you've heard 'em all. Since this sound is the ultimate personal comfort food, I don't mind that one bit even if it hits the sugar-induced brain freeze near the final stretch, but a mostly lovely album that still gives a feeling she's going to have to drastically re-tool her sound on her next album or her music is just going to dissipate.

I found this album to be one that was straight out the blocks with a really strong start and then seemed to maybe lose its momentum a lil towards the end... still a very pleasant listen overall however, containing some real gems in the form of 'Quicksand', 'This Enchanted', 'Lights On' and 'The Rhythm'.

I can't listen to a whole Hatchie album – I've now learnt. However, I can appreciate it from a distance even as it just makes me want to listen to actual shoegaze. This Enchanted is the next "Sure."
