I totally get the pretentious thing but I don't think it's near as bad a Josh Tillman (whom I also like). I just discovered this album today and it shook me. Sad, shitty songs make me so happy, I'm not sure why. Therefore this album made me really happy.

Very long songs. Go to see him live. He is a bad stand-up comedian with a guitar. His jokes are used to stretch out his time on stage. That sounds bad, but he is brilliant live.

This Album is good and interesting but sometimes too pretentious.
