Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 72.1/100, a mean average of 71.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 72.1/100. The standard deviation for this album is 19.8.

An often overlooked album. It's not up to the same caliber of his earlier albums but it's still worthy of adding to a collection if your an Alice fan. Another interesting concept piece, joy of the nut house. Not as rock as previous outings but flows alright with the slower softer songs fitting in well. (Edited)

While not as fully spectacular as most of his earlier efforts, From the Inside is dotted with several excellent and catchy tunes, as well as some of the most interesting (and bizarrely personal) lyrics of Alice's career to this point. (Edited)

I really like this album a lot. This or Brutal Planet I think is Alice's best lyrical album. This one is a little more mellow than some of his stuff but an excellent listen. (Edited)

A very under appreciated album that tells the story of Coop's time in rehab. Wish I Was Born in Beverly Hills is one of my all time favourite Alice Cooper songs. (Edited)

In 1978 Alice Cooper decided to make a record telling his real life at the moment: the fight against alcoholism. With the help of Bernie Taupin (Elton John's lyricist), he produced one of the best albums of his career (in my opinion, THE best). A first line studio musicians band, a varied, well cared and well arranged repertoire and great lyrics. Even the original vinyl cover is great. (Edited)
