When you consider The Beatles have been famous since 1963 there have been surprisingly few movies featuring purely their songs , yes their songs feature in a gazillion movies but movies featuring only Beatles tracks are as follows:
I Wanna Hold Your Hand (1978)
Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (1978)
Beatlemania: The Movie (1981)
Secrets (1992)
Across the Universe (2007)
And now in 2019 we have Yesterday and in my humble opinion the best of the bunch , but lets be honest it's a lame field to beat . This isn't a movie review so let's get on with the soundtrack review
Composer Daniel Pemberton does a nice job with 7 Interlude's breaking up the main tracks of which there are 20
The main star is Himesh Patel who doesn't pretend to be a Beatle and faithfully pays homage to the Fab 4's legacy
Track wise they do a great job of covering their career from beginning to end although nothing from 'Revolver' is a major over sight. Break down as follows

There are some real gem covers to be found here namely a delightful and fun cover of ”I Want To Hold Your Hand” featuring Himesh Patel & Lily James , a rocking live “Help!” and closer “Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da” recorded live at a school
A minor gripe would be the inclusion of 2 versions of "Something" and "Long and Winding Road". With such a vast gold mine to choose from it would have been nice to see some different inclusions
Look this isn't The Beatles but it doesn't pretend to be , just think of it as a wonderful tribute to the greatest band that ever is and ever will be
