Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 72.7/100, a mean average of 72.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 72.7/100. The standard deviation for this album is 15.0.

It's Macca. Even at his worst, he's usually pretty charming - because there's something so beautiful about how effortless he makes it all sound. I don't think this his worst record. His previous record, Wild Life, is worse, for one... It's not his strongest, either - not by a long shot. But it's an enjoyable listen, lots of Macca's signature melodic gifts on display, and nice warm '70s production. The final medley is quite nice too. I especially like the middle two pieces, Lazy Dynamite and The Hands of Love. Both are lyrically pretty simple love songs, but the melody and harmonies are lovely - on Lazy Dynamite especially, they reach spine-tingling levels. Paul's so good, even when he's not trying he can still make magic happen.

A strong and underrated record. Especially the side A, is rich of catchy melodies and sparkly production. "My Love" could fit in any of Beatles album, and the final medlay reminds the b side of Abbey road.

An enjoyable listen but the best for Macca and his Wings cohorts was at still yet to come.

It's ok.
My love and Single pigeon are the best songs IMO.

Red rose speedway, is one of Paul McCartney's most underrated records. It contains some great tracks, the best being the beautiful, my love, one of McCartney's greatest solo tracks(alright, it's technically Paul McCartney and wings, but you know what I mean), and, little lamb dragonfly, is one of his most overlooked songs, it's brilliant. Elsewhere, there's the bluesy opener, big barn bed, the soul of, when the night, the sweet, one more kiss, and the experimental, Loup. The thing most criticized on the album is the medley that closes the record, alright it's not the second side of, Abbey road, but it's still enjoyable enough. Red rose speedway, would obviously be surpassed by it's follow up, band on the run, but it's still a very good LP.

A mess, but such an enjoyable mess. Has some of my favorite songs of McCartney's post-Beatles career.

Recommend: Big Barn Bed, Get on the Right Thing, Little Lamb Dragonfly, Single Pigeon

Actually a very fun, laid back album. My Love, Get on the Right Thing, and the medley are great.
