Katy B's memorable debut is essentially twelve bangers in a row. Each of them draw from various different strands of dance and electronic music, yet the whole record flows well together and although there are a few lulls throughout the 47 minute record, it's difficult to argue when the tracks on offer possess such high quality. "On A Mission" is therefore a big, dancey, fun success !
Katy’s certainly talented but the album doesn’t have enough interesting ideas(sonically or lyrically)or enough edge to it’s fairly standard club atmosphere to really engage or distinguish itself from other moody modern electronic-based albums. Dissapointing but she has potential

She reminds me of a less-sage robyn with less attitude. Her power vocals charge atop electronic samples from house to techno. (I appreciate the prodigy sample in "go away".) On "disappear" she reminds me a bit of beyonce. Compliments in both references.
