Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 12% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 74.7/100, a mean average of 74.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 74.9/100. The standard deviation for this album is 12.3.

Very underrated, and far better than his other solo stuff - and Roger's too.
A pleasant but quite dull album that showcases David's amazing guitar playing, but is let down by the song writing. Other than the solo on Raise My Rent, he definitely put his best music on the Pink Floyd albums.
This album went out to the market between Animals and the Wall. Inferiour IMO to both of them, it is still a good effort from Gilmour to express his feelings at the time musically.
Sacred. So few people know this album even exists. A guitar hero's coming out party. (some might say "lost Floyd")
Best Pink Floyd's solo member album.
David's distinctive guitar playing. Has elements of Floyd's Animals in this album.

If you're looking for great guitar playing, you've found it. Good songwriting on the other hand... Look at the Pink Floyd records for that...
Best Track: No Way
Very cool instrumentals, but feels a bit like a Pink Floyd outtake compilation. Nice sunday afternoon music though.
Fun and pleasant. An album you could sit back and relax to.
