Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 68.6/100, a mean average of 66.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 66.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 12.6.

(Indie pop rock, that is what this is. Outside of the songwriting, all elements are fine. Nothing raises this above pretty good.)
Honestly, after several listens nothing stands out about this album. The drums and the guitars and everything are recorded in such a way that they really pop. The sounds here, the occasional pretty guitar solo, the way the drums stand out clean and quite nice, the dreamy vocals, the slight new wave influences that come in and spice up the otherwise pretty straight-forward Indie Pop and Indie Rock sound, these are all fine.
But... It feels like I have heard this a hundred times before. If a well-worn sound is done well and modernized and also, if I'm being honest, is a style I truly love, then the fact that the sounds are derivative is not a problem. However, this is not a style that ever really captured me in the past so this album is not doing anything for me.
The only thing I can say I am actually negative on here is the songwriting. The vocals are standard indie rock, but the words feel uninspired and by-the-books. The lyrics I heard consistently struck me as that youthful, romantic stuff that I never once felt moved by.
Overall, if you like this Mac Demarco-ish indie rock/pop sound, you may like this. For me, not really anything stands out here.
