Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 68.9/100, a mean average of 67.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 68.8/100. The standard deviation for this album is 19.6.

The good songs on this album are them firing on all cylinders. It's On! is an absolutely epic opener, showcasing a well-refined sound that follows strongly for four or five tracks. Then the album is let down by its B-side being good at best and average at worst.

Great album but unfortunately a bit top-heavy.

I think I like Korn. But it's difficult for me to manage them unless it's in small doses. At an hour and 10 minutes with an average song length of over 4.5 minutes (not counting the interlude/bonus track), this is much too big of a dose of Korn for me to enjoy. If "Freak on a Leash" or "Children of the Korn" came up on a shuffled metal playlist, I think I'd enjoy them, but it's hard for me to sit through more than 4 minutes at once. Usually when I like something in small doses, it means I can work my way up to enjoying it in big doses, but I just can't see myself doing that for a niche genre that hit its peak over 20 years ago.

Great cover art, interesting sound textures, bit too raucous for me. Metal doesn't need rap. I read a review which describes this album as 'suburban gimmick metal', I think this fits.

Probably more of an experimental hip-hop album than a full on rock one, it feels a bit soft for the latter and not quite committed enough to the former, but defintely has some interesting things going on even if the songs themselves are a bit dissapointing.

Their best, and also the first by them I bought. I think a lot of people who bash nu metal don't really understand it, or remember what a breath of fresh air it was at the time. Trust me, this needed to happen. A great album.
