A good debut. An enjoyable and inoffensive pop-rock album. There are no duds on the album (ignoring the pointless 1 minute track). You can definitely hear the U2 influence with the vocals and at times the guitar riffs, but I think this album stands out on its own without needing the U2 comparison. Much more poppy than his dad's band. My highlights are My Honest Face, the title track, Slide Out the Window and Night on the Floor.
Great debut, the resemblance with early U2 is definitely there.
