What’s the most under appreciated catalogue in modern popular music? The Moody Blues, Alice Cooper and The Zombies quickly come to mind. However one artist stands above all others in the underrated category and that’s the one and only Nancy Sandra Sinatra

Nancy Sinatra was extremely prolific and successful from 1966 releasing 4 killer albums which included ‘Boots’ (1966)
‘How Does That Grab You?’ (1966)
‘Nancy in London’ (1966)
And ‘Nancy & Lee’ (1967)

It is therefore unsurprising that this 2021 compilation draws heavily from these iconic releases for a release that simply stuns with its depth and quality. Tracks such as “Bang Bang”, “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’”, “How Does That Grab You Darlin’?”, “You Only Live Twice”, “Lightning’s Girl” and the rare “Machine Gun Kelly” only begins to scratch the surface of what’s on offer here with the 9 Lee Hazlewood duets simply sublime highlighted with “Some Velvet Morning” which may be the greatest song ever written (it’s certainly hands down the best duet ever composed)

In her career Nancy had over 20 singles chart in the US alone as well as a multitude of albums, which brings me back to where I began - who’s the most underrated artist in modern music? Its Nancy Sinatra
