This is a prime slice of funk from a super-talented musician. The track that starts side 2, "I Am For Real," really, and I mean REALLY sounds like a Bootsy Collins track, to the point almost of discomfort...I'm not sure if it's a nod or a spoof or a rip-off or what...but who really cares, I guess, the whole album is a stone groove.
