Vocalist Joe Williams had an over 40 year long career, and he performed with numerous band leaders throughout that career. Bluebird and RCA compiled some of his greatest performances here on this album. The first section of this album features live performances by Joe and accompanying band at the Newport Jazz Festival. The second section of the album features songs performed by Joe and band conducted and arranged by Jimmy Jones and Oliver Nelson. The third section of the album features tunes which Joe and band performed arranged and conducted by Frank Hunter. All of these can be heard on (Cat#: 6464-2-RB) as a fine review of some of the highlights of this classy singer's career. Authenticated on discogs.com.
