On her fourth full length album, soul singer Lalah Hathaway brings all the passion and fire which adorned her previous outings, and accents them with a sophisticated cool which she may have inherited from her father - 70s singer, Donny Hathaway. Not relying specifically on her genes, Hathaway has created her own voice and deserves accolades on her on merit as a singer and songwriter. Released in 2004 on Mesa Recordings/Pyramid Records (Cat#: 024 691 109 2) the 13 song album divides itself evenly between uptempo numbers and quiet storm ballads. Authenticated on discogs.com
