King Hannah tantalised greatness in 2020 when we got the wonderful EP ‘Tell Me Your Mind And I’ll Tell You Mine’ with Craig Whittle and vocalist Hannah Merricks’s one in a million combination of Mazzy Star / Hope Sandoval meets Portishead / Beth Gibbons meets Julia Stone in Southern America musical bliss
Two years on they take this premise and dial it up to eleven for one hell of a ride here and 2022’s best album. Top to bottom this ones got character, cool, sex appeal and that weird intangible x-factor that clearly sets it apart from everything else in the preceding 12 months
King Hannah are the real deal. Greatness starts here
