Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 64.7/100, a mean average of 62.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 62.7/100. The standard deviation for this album is 20.8.

Shortlisted in 1992 for Album of the year at the Grammys. The winner was Unforgettable... With Love by Natalie Cole
This album reminds me of those albums where half of the songs are written by some bigwig songwriting team and half of the songs are written by the artist singing them. Usually, the songs written by the powerhouse songwriting team are the better songs (aka, the hits). That's how it is with this pop album, except Amy Grant has a hand in writing all of the songs. The night-and-day difference on this album is between the true pop songs versus the christian pop songs. The christian pop songs are just too "on message" to be of comparable quality to fun ditties like "baby baby" and "i will remember you". But it's not a 50/50 mixture -- most are of the pop song variety -- so Amy Grant doesn't wallow long in God's poorly, cliche-written love often.
Also, it's too bad she didn't release "Hats" and it was a hit. (It's an ok, sort of laughable song, so it wouldn't've been a hit, but...) I could so see Weird Al doing a cover as "Cats".
And she was great starring opposite Bill Murray in "Groundhog Day". :-)
Quality production, fine album, in my opinion only the song "Hats" does not belong to the crowd.
