“Marchita” is about the intimacy of the vocals. The instrumentals are quiet blends of either guitars or strings. They are understated to put the full focus on the singing. Estrada lushly stretches her notes to fully explore each emotion. “Carta” is the strongest example of this with the vocal passion boosted by the relatively upbeat guitar work. The album never moves beyond this formula, but it never does it poorly.
Gentle, fragile and compelling with enchanting vocal performances, charming instrumentation and rustic production. I felt no emotion was lost to me despite not speaking Spanish!

Quite pleasant little album with little cuatro guitar and Estrada's competent vocals. compositions can sometimes go a bit awry with instrumental backing just interrupting the songs, but in at least one case, Carta, they're added remarkably well and pull off a really satisfying song build.
