Musically, this album is mostly a nonstarter. The tunes are catchy but it’s much too raw for me to listen to with any consistency. However, as a sort of documentary, this is a fascinating record. It’s hilarious at times but never gets too far from the truth which is that this is a tragic story of a man who has been tormented and dejected by his peers. The album itself is probably an exploitation but it’s certainly worth listening to to hear the story. It’s probably too long but it does really help you get to know Wild Man Fischer.
