The Germs perfected the simplicity of hardcore punk though they dont have the agression of band like Black Flag and Minor Threat. One of those records I enjoy allot but I would not easily recommend to someone else at all, because there is not much in terms of musicality at play here (except some guitar work on Richie Dagger and Manimal and the bass is really catchy) and the vocals are purposely terrible, but man this is addictive as fuck. I have a wide taste for music, but punk or the music related to punk has always remained a mystery to me. It does not get to my soul or grip me at all.
The praise is sometimes incomprehensible. This music leaves me untouched. Do not actively hate it, but to me, it remains as a side note in my musical encyclopedia. I like many punk songs, but a whole album of this is too much for me
Amazing, one of the first Punk bands in the U.S if not thee first. Great LA classic
and the band has a great story going.
