Really fun punk record, took me a couple of listens to get into this record, but I enjoyed it.

So many times I see abhorrent people on the news or other TV programs and 'I am a Poseur' just pops into my head. Love the sax on this album, Poly tried so hard not to be a dolly, but she so is.

This is pretty good. Better musicality than I expected. By the time I started to find the vocals a little grating, I was already into bonus tracks.

That initial appeal of this album was definitely not lost by the end, I can't find a weak track - let alone a favourite. All the way through each track is carried out with the ferocity as the last, if not in musicality then in lyricism or delivery. For its 45+ minute run time, I felt this achieved what its modern counterparts couldn't... assimilation. Now don't get me wrong, its just that if you compare the styling of Riot Grrrl to what the male punk equivalent was doing at the time, you might notice an intrinsic separation in the delivery. That's what - most likely - draws me to style. X-Ray Spex prove that they can doubtlessly do both and are worth of being a part of the pantheon of the punk movement of the time. With more renowned acts like Sex Pistols, Ramones & so on.

The wonderful X-Ray Spex at their exhilarating best! A fabulous album..
Excellent early punk album. Poly sings like Debbie Harry ate John Lydon. The whole thing is a breath of fresh air, tons of fun and rocking.

This is an awesome album that managed to slide under my RADAR for years. It took me years to discover that this band was much more than just "Oh! Bondage, Up Yours!"
