Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 2% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 78.1/100, a mean average of 77.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 78.4/100. The standard deviation for this album is 13.7.

Even for an old man like me, this album has some potential to be revisited. Good postpunk pop.
bumpity bump punk with forced angst
This album feels like a singles collection. Would be so impressive if they recorded even better songs! Well.. they did record Teenage Kicks as well so I suppose they did. Well worth a spin!
Favorite Tracks:Jump Boys, Billy's Third, Casbah Rock
Best Tracks: Jimmy Jimmy, I Know A Girl
Thoroughly enjoyable pop/punk classic. Great short punchy rock'n'roll tracks. A pity, teenage kicks, isn't on the actual album, still it's on the CD version. Is this the same man that would sing, a good heart?
'Teenage Kicks' and 'Get Over You' shouldn't be listed.
Great pop-punk.
A lost masterpiece of the 70s, They had so much potential....
Every song is a lesson about making great punk, Even that some songs looked old they can reanimate it in a way that even the most boring person can like.
I prefer the October 1979 re-release (with "Teenage Kicks" and "Get Over You") to the initial 14-track LP, released in May 1979.
The best album of the Undertones are better for Single .Thus the best album for the undertones are a Greatest Hit
