“Trinchera” knows how to mix its instruments. There is great interplay between the guitars and synths. The synths will play the same melody and make the guitar sound sharper and more apparent. The record has fantastic breakdowns sprinkled throughout. It keeps the album feeling surprising. Unfortunately, the B side is much weaker than the A. The songs are quieter and flatter in tone from the more isolated guitars. Not the strongest finish, but still a fun listen.
