I feel the spoken word passages that bookend the record could be a lot shorter than they are, but the vast majority of what's in between is absolutely sublime. Some of Susanne's most enchanting and beautiful tracks are on this album, namely Ashera's Song, Alyosha and the title track
This is an album that starts a little slow but once it gets going it is difficult to not be mesmerised by the musical quality that is present on here. The true quality of the record starts on the title track which is a stunning song that captivated me right from the first time I heard it. Instrumentally, it is fantastic as it displays a wide variety of instrumentation which all match up brilliantly to create a beautiful soundscape that fits her vocal perfectly. This results in a beautiful combination that sounds so enjoyable to the ears and is consistently maintained right up until the closing track. Even when there is a brief dip in quality on track 8 we never lose the flow or beauty of the music allowing us to stay completely engrossed by her unique style. Overall, I was excited to listen to this album when I heard about its release and it didn't disappoint with its intelligent music and deeply personal lyrics creating one of the best records of 2023 so far.
A deeply personal and heartfelt collection of expertly crafted and performed compositions. It's a yes from me.

A lot of sincerity, thoughts and emotions in an album that finally can be too much to tell. Fortunately the pure talent of Susanne is enough to fill the audience, especially when she manages to weave perfect ditties
