Second part of a three-part archival release series that was set in motion by Wishbone Ash super-fan and radio DJ 'Dr. John' of the USASH fan club, originally released as a fan club album in 1995 before being polished into official re-release via this three-part series in 1998. It's full of previously unreleased demos, live recordings, band interviews, and fan-recorded bootlegs, released here officially with CD sales going to the band in order to 'beat the bootleggers.' Volume 2 highlights the 'Mark II' lineup of Wishbone Ash when Laurie Wisefield took over guitar duties, bookended with the finish and start of Ted Turner's early and late tenure with the band. Maybe the least essential of he three Archives albums since it has no entirely new tracks, but it does have some unique, never-before-heard live performances of some Ash classics, ranging in audio quality from great (The Pilgrim, Lifeline, Rest in Peace) to not-so-great-but-still-worth-checking-out (Silver Shoes, Lady Jay). Another fun find for Wishbone Ash explorers. (Edited)
