Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 2% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 80.2/100, a mean average of 79.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 80.5/100. The standard deviation for this album is 15.0.

Just going to echo what everyone else said. A fantastic album that somehow took years to reach me. Some of the best guitar work on any album ever. It's full of enjoyable, accessible prog/folk/hard rock from start to finish. All killer, no filler.

Ive been getting into prog a lot lately... a friend recommended me this one and I loved it!! Some of the best guitar work Ive heard on any record. Sometime World and Warrior in particular are awesome!

Wishbone Ash's guitar work is really what separates them from the rest of progressive rock, most bands only had one guitarist, if any. Argus is their version of a magnum opus; sprawling, technical, and understated.

I went into this album not knowing a lot about the band, and I fell in love with the guitar interplay throughout the album. A real winner that somehow took a while to reach my ears.

One of the best prog albums of all time. Superb guitar and bass throughout, underpinned by drums which sit perfectly in the mix. An album where you can pick each instrument out individually and where the vocals sit correctly in the mix also. This could well be my all time favourite album cover. As the warrior looks over the land one wonders what is going through his mind, flip the sleeve over and you can pick out the feint outline of a UFO. Well done to Hipgnosis for such a simple yet effective and thought provoking sleeve design.

This album has almost disappeared without trace but should be recognised as the all time classic it truly is

Another victim of short running time. The three part battle suite to end the record ("The King Will Come", "Warrior", "Throw Down The Sword") can only be described as epic.
