Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 72.8/100, a mean average of 71.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 72.8/100. The standard deviation for this album is 17.0.

really wish this album had made more of a wave since it was released since it's just so, so good, but an obscurely popular music video off a strong album is more than most artists get in their lifetime.
also really wish the re-issue songs were on the original album so I could give them the 100/100 they deserve though (Edited)

The re-issue is much better, Mountain Sound & Slow And Steady are essential.

Good album. Nothing special, but it's just good indie music from Iceland.
Best tracks: Dirty Paws, King and Lionheart, Little Talks,
Worst track: Six Weeks

Disregard what I said.
Don't deny 'Little Talks' is one of the greats of the year. It's like a childish dream every push of the repeat button. Simple times as a song. I'm very pleased they actually put the time to create some great songs to put around it.
