Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 72.4/100, a mean average of 72.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 72.4/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.8.

This is a great example of the rule that you can't get bored of that which is truly boring.

I listen through this, and I enjoy every inch of the album. To top it off, nothing is stuck in my head.

The music in kin is far better than bounty. It's not the most complex, but it's pop music. The songs draw from many influences, and it's like each song has it's own influence, but the album still is coherent. It's overall a well produced electropop album that has well written lyrics with every song standing out in it's own way.

At times it's a bit clunky, but overall a pretty enjoyable experience with some catchy songs that are bouncy yet dark.

Last two tracks are good, otherwise I find the LP pretty ugly TBH. It's not strong enough melodically to make up for those ugly synths. Well, except the last two tracks.

Somewhere in the realm of portishead and fever ray you can find iamamiwhoami. Good album with some good beats but her vocals are fairly muted keeping this album from taking off.

Takes a lot from electro pop or synth pop or even trip-hop artists like Björk, M83, Portishead, The Knife/Fever Ray (the good part of those), there are even some dream pop-ish (almost Beach House-esque) moments. Still, there's more to this music than what is on the surface... It's quite special.
I love her videos, too. I don't exactly get the story they tell, but they're just beautiful to watch.
