A well titled debut from Gregg Allman. The re-worked versions of the Allman brothers songs are an honest rival to the original versions. I may even like Allman's solo version of Midnight Rider more. There's a spectacular version of Jackson Browne's These Days as well.
For his solo debut, Gregg takes a different spin on a couple of his own standards, some new tracks, and great covers. It's much more soulful and R&B influenced than the ABB albums. My favorite track is the closer.
