Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 4% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 76.5/100, a mean average of 76.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 76.8/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.0.

Doloroso e belíssimo!
Not as brilliant as her first three albums but still a decent record. Her fourth best album.
Average electronic/baroque rock/pop album. I'm not really getting to like this, sounds too experimentally/strange. Only good song is dance-pop song "Raspberry swirl" 85/100.
Best tracks: Jackie's Strength, Raspberry Swirl, Spark, Hotel.
Much better than Boys for Pele. The songs are great and the alt-electronic sounds are completely welcome.
After more than two years and nearly a hundred listens probably, this still feels extremely fresh and invigorating. Almost as good as immaculate Little Earthquakes, and a truly perfect album. If I didn't have my one-album-per-artist rule, this would be around #8 on my chart.
Spark and Cruel were my favorite tracks.
Personally, "iieee" was one of my faves, partially from the awesome industrial solo near the end, and partially because of this intro (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8vyx5OPvcU).
I also loved "Cruel", "Liquid Diamonds", and "Spark" a lot. The tracks you guys named were cool, too, but they were just usual Tori fare. What makes this my 2nd favorite album from her (Little Earthquakes is my all-time fave) is the electronic influence.
I always prefer Jackie's Strength, my favorite Tori Amos song.
Meh, not by a long shot.
Still, this album owns. It's typical Tori mixed with Nine Inch Nails. How can you get more awesome than that?
