Richie Sambora used Bon Jovi hiatus to make his first solo album. Blues influences have always been present in his playing so it's no wonder this album is a departure from Bon Jovi sound and a trip into blues-rock teritory.
His voice is incredibly underrated since he's at least just as good as Jon Bon Jovi and his singing here matches his playing which is full of Claptonian influences. Lyrics are suprisingly strong since complement the music nicely.
Sambora went on to make two more solo albums, but this one is clearly the best and better than most Bon Jovi albums.
