It's cheesy and 12 year-old Danny has lots of studio "help" with his singing, but the main problem here is the lame songs. They really did Danny dirty by making "I'll Be Your Magician" the first track, which is a ridiculously bad song for anyone to sing, and especially for a kid (lyrics like "I'll be your magician, Touch you softly with my magic wand" and "Once you're under my spell, Honey I'll make love to you"). The rest of the album isn't quite so bad, but 1973 wasn't a great year for music in general. Not much worse than some other mainstream music from the time.
