Maybe not quite as strong as What Did You Expect - it still has the same pop energy and delivery with plenty going for it with the first three songs, Weirdo and Lonely World managing to hit the heights for me
Solid album, although doesn't hit the heights of their debut. My favourites are Aftershave Ocean and No Hope.
A fun record. Very enjoyable easy-listening and with a Lot of pop conscience.
After a good debut, the new album is just as interesting. You can put it on the shelf and listen to a few times :)

Consolidating the work done on the first album, The Vaccines Come Of Age is another collection of dumb, fun, rock 'n' roll (take note Animal Collective & Grizzly Bear) SONGS. Sure, the boys are hardly the most innovative kids on the block but the new album is a welcome shot in the arm just as rock is beginning to disappear completely up it's own arse.
