Introspective and yet willing to experiment. Maybe that's how british folk felt at the end of the neoclassical 90s, where it recieved new recognition and a hope for artistical renewal as well, maybe best feslt in the Waterson:Carthy albums. But it was obvious, that the tradition in itself changed, it became a memory of the past, not it's extension, like it seemed when Jansch begun as a young man.
