Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A much slicker follow up to her debut. The songs don't quite have the same edge and grit as on her previous LP. Still, there are some good songs here in, deep water, what's simple is true, and, life uncommon. Another decent Jewel album. It all went a bit downhill from here though.
