Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. An excellent and totally underrated debut. It's full of great songs in the vein of Joni Mitchell. Best tracks are, foolish games, you were meant for me, and, painters. A great album that deserves more attention.

Good singer-songwriter/folk pop album. Best 10 songs average is 82,0/100 and the album can get good 80/100. It's very soft. Best songs are "Who will save your soul", "Pieces of you" and "You were meant for me" all 85/100. Other songs in the average/only just good region of 70-80/100.
The album sounds samey altogether but thankfully Foolish Games alone makes it a worthwhile listen.
This album seems under appreciated on this site. Many of the lyrics and songs are personal and therefore from a female perspective which many people may struggle to connect with. I personally love female singer songwriters so i rate this album highly. Simplistic but heartfelt and great songwriting. Album closer Amen is particularly brilliant.
This album has some VERY promising moments in "Foolish Games" (non-single version, mind you), "Angel Standing By", "Adrian", and "Amen". Then you get insipid bubbly bullshit in the form of "Morning Song", "You Were Meant For Me", and "Near You Always" all of which have lyrical content that make me want to vomit. These tracks keep the album from being an emotional rollercoaster it could have been.

Probably the best album from ol' Snaggletooth. Jewel actually has quite a lot of talent and comes off very well on the album, especially on Foolish Games. I'm still pretty sure that You Were Meant for Me and Who Will Save Your Soul are the exact same song, but whatever. Mostly recommended.
