Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 5% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 76.1/100, a mean average of 76.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 76.5/100. The standard deviation for this album is 13.8.

I've been after a decent copy of this on vinyl for years. Today that moment has come. It is an awesome album, very diverse which suitably depicts the different characters of Henry's wives. If you are into analogue keyboards, then this is a must have album, keyboard lovers can salivate over the opened gatefold photo, where the sound sources are noted for each of the keyboards.

Not so easy to be listened, but great and extremely sophisticated concept album.

One of those records that people make their minds up prior to hearing it that it is utter shit. Then listen to it and reluctantly admit its not that bad. If you read the notes in the gatefold he says " it is my personal conception of their characters in relation to keyboard instruments". Now, seeing the type of guy he is, he seems ok to me, I guess he was having a big laugh with that. Or he was smoking stong shit.

Probably the best instrumental album I've ever heard. Great for keyboard lovers.

It's so over the top that it's easy to be turned off, but "Anne of Cleaves" is addicting. A virtuoso, for better or worse.

This is Rick in full bloom but before he got the idea to make it even more grandiose and include a full orchestra. If you like grandiloquent keyboard solos, you are in for a treat.
