Quantidade cavalar de humor e ironia.
The beginning of Zé's most experimental period (which never really ended). Not as celebrated as the posterior "Estudando o Samba", but it's as good. Better heard with headphones.
The cover is legendary and it's my favourite of a Brazilian record. It is said that the marble was photographed on top of the anus of a prostitute, but censorship never realized it...
Um dos mais brilhantes álbums da MPB é, na verdade, uma sátira muito bem construída do próprio gênero. Genial em todos os aspectos, Tom Zé nós trás letras com duplos, triplos sentidos, já configurado na primeira faixa "Complexo do Épico" que introduz o álbum perfeitamente.
Mas esse não é um álbum que é resumível por ser simplesmente uma sátira. Ele detém o mesmo valor que todos os outros grandes álbum da época e até se destaca perante boa parte deles, por sua sinceridade e honestidade em questionar o gênero ao mesmo tempo que o cantor se abre para o público, sem esconder nada.
"A Noite do Meu Bem" é uma das canções mais bonitas que eu já ouvi. O engraçado com o Tom é que talvez daqui há alguns anos eu descubra outro significado pra ela.
