well, before there was boyz ii men, abc and bbd, there was new edition, and the member whose career took off the most from that pre-NKOTB boy band was bobby brown. "don't be cruel" marks the apex of his r&b/hip-hop career. This album is half hits & half filler approximately, so if you stick to the first 6 tracks, then you'll hear the best bobby b. has to offer.
