Joan Armatrading's Shouting Stage was her best album since 1980's Me Myself I. The Devil I Know is a strong opener followed by Living For You & the title track then on side 2 is All a Woman Needs, Straight Talk & Dark Truths a great return to form after some mediocre albums in the early 1980's.
