This is a strange one, another album of cover versions, sublimely reinterpreting songs by Jefferson Airplane and Hendrix among others, stuff from all over the map, but totally disconnecting them from the originals and rehousing them as chilled-out jazz vocal mini-drama's. Beautiful guitar playing all the way through from the hugely underrated Robben Ford. I think RLJ is a brave artist, like Joni, she's never been afraid to completely alienate her audience for the sake of pursuing her artistic impulse. I know, I've seen her live a few times and she's always disappointed, but hey! Good on her. (Edited)

An album of cotemporary jazz and blues standards and a cover of Up From The skies (Jimi Hendrix). Atmospheric and best listened to at night it really allows Jones voice to shine. It flows and takes you with it, a must for fans and jazz enthusiasts.
