Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 3% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 77.5/100, a mean average of 76.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 78.0/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.3.

These guys have very good taste in the music they stole, err, I mean sampled. e.g., The Band on "Check the Technique". I also liked the rhythm guitar, piano, scratching, and nice beats. And classic rhyme rapping, I like the relaxed delivery. Music to chill by, terrific album all the way through and that's rare. (Edited)

Probably one of my favourite acts at the time. Guru's prudent delivery possibly sounds even more refreshing now than it did then. (Edited)
Amazing flow, great rhymes, and cool production. 9.5/10! (Edited)

Some of the beats are a bit annoying but Guru's voice, rhymes and flow are on point enough on those tracks to make up for it. The best tracks on this record are straight fire. A hip hop classic. (Edited)
Simply fantastic! The lyrics were the best part for me and the songwriting skills are high. This is music to enjoy! Want more of it!
