Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 22% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 74.0/100, a mean average of 73.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 74.1/100. The standard deviation for this album is 13.4.

The band are in the background and Debbie explores her possibilities of her voice more while they're occasionally goofing off, which is very much a good thing. Their attempts at slower, more sensitive songs are also very welcome.

Did no work for me on the first listen. Too incohesive. Starts well, but lacks hits..
What an album cover! One of the best ever.

I prefer this and Eat to the Beat to Parallel Lines. Not by much, but this album here is a little more surprising or something. And it's more lasting. For me, it's outlasted Parallel Lines.

My favourite Blondie album bought it when I was 17 it is more punky/raw compared to Parallel Lines not as much "Pop" here. Harry's voice gets full reign on some of the tracks Detroit 442, Love At the Pier, I'm On E & I Didn't Have The Nerve.... being good examples. Denis & Touched By Your Presence Dear were the singles released but the album is full of wannabe singles. A great 70's album before they went mainstream.
This is a really a kind of a transition record for the band. I think it's great fun.
This album is bubble punk! You can listen a bit of Parallel greatness but not quiet yet. Great album.
