Underrated album from ex Sparrow (Tomorrow's Ship) guitarist/songwriter Dennis Edmonton aka Mars Bonfire. Has a version of Born To Be Wild by the original songwriter though this version was recorded after the Steppenwolf version but done in the more 'folky style' Mars originally envisaged. Also includes originals of 4 other tracks covered by STEPPENWOLF, Faster than The Speed of Light, Nightimes For You, Tenderness & Ride With Me. The last 2 include extra verses edited out in the Steppenwolf versions.Ride With Me by Mars is great & with the extra lyrics the songs meaning is better understood. I love this original though the Steppenwolf edit really rocks. Tenderness is better edited as the extra verse is awkward & could be interpreted the wrong way in this day & age. A wise edit by JK .All in all an essential underrated classic for Steppenwolf & rock fans in general.
