First of all--we should just list this album as "Like A Mother Fucker". That's its real name. The semi-censored "LAMF" sounds like a really stupid mmorpg.
Anyway, the production issues kind of ruined this album's reputation, but the version out now--the lost '77 tapes restored (or whatever the hell) sounds fantastic. This is a truly great album.
You'd think since the New York Dolls have gained some traction in recent years--no doubt thanks to that airhead Morrissey (their biggest fan)--more people would be aware of this equally talented spinoff act, but I realize this is a bit of an obscurity because the mixes have all been so terrible over the years. This is the one though. The latest release is perfect. Every song is a winner. Listen to it now.
