This follows the style of the first Black Star Riders album pretty closely, being Thin Lizzy-esque hard rock with Celtic influences.
"The Killer Instinct" and "Finest Hour" are great songs, and are the highlights for me, and "Soldierstown" is also pretty good. As a whole, though, I think this album is a lot less consistent than the first album. It feels like the second half of the album is a big step down from the first half. It's not awful, but for me it's just really average stuff for the style.
