Decided to listen to this because I decided Emergency & I is my favorite album ever, and I always wanted to listen to an album Pitchfork decided was worthless (this got a 0.0 in case you're wondering). And, as I expected, it's pretty average. I can see why anyone expecting another Dismemberment Plan album would be disappointed, as this is a little more experimental and drifts away from the post hardcore found on Emergency into more standard indie rock/pop. But there are some pretty decent songs, and some of the lyrics are great (see The Word Cop). It's not great by any means, but it deserves better than it got.
