Hubbard hates this album-- the producer screwed with it mightily after he and the band had signed off on a final version, and they were quite horrified to hear track they had nothing to do with on the actual version in stores.
I once tried with what I thought was infinite tact to suggest to him over the phone that those of us who bought it on spec in Manhattan, knowing nothing about him or the band, and were enchanted by great songs and attitude, were attracted to the right things about it without knowing about the wrong ones, and he should accept if not exactly embrace it, as it had done him a lot of good...
He hung up on me
